Open Standards for Smart Cities
· One min read
I was invited to speak at the LiveableCitiesX Summit in Dubai about the crucial role of open standards in smart city development. The session focused on how standardized information models help cities extract meaningful insights from their data while maintaining interoperability and avoiding vendor lock-in.

During my presentation, I demonstrated how the Garnet Framework implements these principles, enabling cities to build sustainable and scalable solutions. By using open standards, cities can create unified knowledge graphs that make their data more valuable and actionable, while preserving their freedom to choose and evolve their technology stack.
